THE FIRST PHASE 

At its meeting on September 30, 2003, the Academic Planning and Review Committee (ARPC) approved the formation of a committee to facilitate an academic planning process on campus.

On October 17, 2003, Senate approved the initiation of the academic planning process.

The purpose is to facilitate an overall academic planning process for the campus that is designed to:

• support teaching and learning success
• develop an academic planning process
• utilize students’ interests and market demands to assist in identifying potential programs
• develop a strategy that links academic planning to space, budget, and infrastructure planning
• support student recruitment and enrollment planning
• reflect upon the role and direction of online learning

To ensure a wide campus consultation occurs, the Academic Planning Facilitation/Framework Committee (APFC) was formed.
