 Staff Achievement Awards

These awards recognize outstanding achievements by staff member(s) to the University community.

Who is eligible:

Any full-time or part-time UPEI employees (individual or team) who are not members of the faculty or administrators/officers of the University.  The  awards focus on individuals or teams serving the greater campus community working with groups, such as faculty, staff, administrators, students, alumni. etc.

Category 1: Career Achievement Award

This award will be made to an individual or team who has a history of outstanding achievements throughout their career at UPEI. This may include one or more of exceptional service to the university community, a long-term commitment to the highest standards, dedication to fostering employee relations, resourcefulness and responsiveness.

Category 2: Creative Initiative Award

This award will be made to an individual or team who, over the past year (Nov. 1st, 2009 to Oct. 30th, 2010), has brought forward a new idea, a unique approach and/or a new program that has resulted in greater efficiency, effectiveness or improved service in their area or in the university as a whole.

Who may nominate:

Any member of the campus community

Nomination requirements:

- completed nomination form including a minimum of 5 signatures of support

- letter of introduction/support by the nominating person

c/o Vice-President Academic

Deadline:

Tuesday, November 30, 2010

Judged by:

A committee consisting of :

- Two members of the Academic Support Group, one of whom will serve as Chair

- One faculty member chosen by the President of the Faculty Association

- A previous ASG Award Recipient chosen by the Vice-President Academic

- One member of the campus community chosen by the President

- One student member appointed by the Student Union

 

Award will be presented at:

            A reception in December
